Global Missions.

Mt. Vernon Church has played a key role in building a school, church, clinic, and other essential improvements in the Batey Central slum area of the Dominican Republic. Together with members from other churches, we sponsor over 130 children, providing them with education, Bible study, a daily meal, medical and dental care, and a nurturing Christian environment. Through our partnership with American and local missionaries, we have seen a remarkable transformation in the community, bringing renewed hope to both children and adults among the Haitian immigrant population.
